IE and Edge ignore PAC (proxy auto config) file
I keep getting "waiting for proxy tunnel" when selecting many web sites. When I go to LAN settings and un-check Automatically Check Setting and the Proxy Server check box is un-ticked Chrome works as it should. However when I quit Chrome and restart it the Auto Check Setting is reticked and Chrome does not connect to these sites. tunneling - How to force ALL programs to use my Proxy So how can I force all my programs to go through my local proxy (or tunnel my connections to my local proxy)? Firefox has its own proxy settings. So there's no way for an app inside the VM to know what the host's settings are. That "global" proxy setting doesn't force anything and as far as each guest is concerned the host is a completely separate computer in every way. – bahamat Feb 3 '11 at 17:59
