I was thinking how I could do this without having another machine running. What I'm wondering is would it be possible to run a VM with only Deluge running in the VM connected via the VPN and have all other applications run on the main OS without connecting to the VPN, so that all normal traffic goes through the normal route and torrent traffic goes through the VPN in the VM Sep 15, 2017 · As example say all torrent traffic goes out the VPN..in the event the VPN is down you dont want Torrent Traffic to work. Relatively inexpensive, fairly easy to figure out, and extremely customizable. You can build your own server and load the software up (Linux-based), or buy one of their supported hardware units. Check out Sophos Essential Firewall as an alternative, I've used both Untangle as a commercial product and Sophos for gaining visibility of network traffic at the gateway in its free incarnation (which also includes 10 endpoint protection licences). They are both good at different things, it may be more about fit than features.
