U-verse is now called AT&T internet. Everyone's experience with the service is different and it depends on how the service is delivered/how far you are from the main facilities. I'd place an order and have a tech come out to verify you'll be getting what you're paying for and clear any issues on the line before completing the installation.

Of course we understand AT & T and other providers want to stop Landline service. But, the elderly do not use internet and cannot afford Cable TV .
